James W. Archbold of Arlington, Texas, a former resident of Niagara Falls, died Friday (Oct. 25, 1996) in Columbia Medical Center, Arlington, after suffering a stroke from complications of diabetes.
Archbold, 39, was born in Niagara Falls and graduated from LaSalle High School. He received an associate's degree in mechanical engineering from Niagara County Community College.
Archbold, who formerly lived on 80th Street, was a mechanical designer with ATSI of Massachusetts for 18 years.
He was a member of Council 247, Knights of Columbus, and was a fourth-degree knight. He also was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Jane Shultz of Arlington; his parents, John and the former Mary Boddecker; three sisters, Patricia Schlomberg of Durham, N.C., Barbara Swiatlowski of Essex Junction, Vt., and Catherine Mitchell; and a brother, John.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, after prayers at 9 in Cooper Funeral Home, 8028 Buffalo Ave. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
