A couple accused each other of marijuana possession early Saturday when police investigated a domestic dispute reported by neighbors.
Patti A. Hockenberry, 20, of 1149 Pierce Ave. was at the home of Frank J. Marino, 21, at 9890 Niagara Falls Blvd. at about 1:45 a.m. when neighbors called police.
Officer Kelly Rizzo said the woman showed him two bags of marijuana that she said Marino kept under his mattress. Marino responded by saying Ms. Hockenberry had a bag of the drug in her cigarette pack. Rizzo said the woman showed him the bag.
Both were charged with marijuana possession. Marino was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child for smoking the drug in front of the couple's 3-year-old son.
After the suspects were booked and released at 3:15 a.m., Officer Steven Baum said Marino hit Ms. Hockenberry. He was charged with third-degree assault.
