Rep. Sonny Bono, hospitalized with a bleeding ulcer, is expected to recover fully and be back on the campaign trail this week.
Bono, R-Calif., was listed in good condition Saturday in the Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.
The entertainer-turned-politician was hospitalized Thursday night after suffering stomach pain.
The ulcer was probably brought on by anti-inflammatory medicines, Bono's spokesman said. Bono, 61, has been taking aspirin and ibuprofen since he was diagnosed with arthritis in his neck last year.
