Volunteers from all over Buffalo will make a concerted effort to clean up the city Saturday. The volunteers will meet at 8 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, get job assignments, a snack and "Make a Difference Day" T-shirts, then be taken to job sites.

West Seneca AmeriCorps, Youth Engaged in Service, United Way, Home Depot, Buffalo in Bloom and Nino's Pizzeria are all cooperating.

At noon, the shuttles will bring the volunteers back to the church.

The projects this year include cleanups at Martin Luther King, Hennepin and Cazenovia parks and painting projects inside St. James Church and Grace United Church of Christ. Other volunteers will head for the Salvation Army, where they will bag groceries, and to Niagara Square for a bulb-planting project.
