Theresa P. O'Leary, 67, of South Fourth Street, retired laboratory director at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, died Wednesday (Oct. 23, 1996) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness.

A native of Niagara Falls, Miss O'Leary was a graduate of the former St. Mary's High School in Niagara Falls and of Michigan State and the University of Michigan. She retired in 1991 as laboratory director after more than 25 years' service at the University of Michigan School of Public Health.

She was a member of the Niagara Council of the Arts and the National Association of Registered Medical Technologists.

Survivors include a sister, Mary P. "Molly" Switzer of Sarasota, Fla.; and three brothers, Jeremiah M. of Youngstown, the Rev. Sean C. of Houston, and Thomas P. of Lewiston.

Father O'Leary will offer a Mass of Christian Burial at 8 p.m. Sunday in Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 339 22nd St., Niagara Falls. Private burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
