4:45 -- 500 block of Walnut Avenue, harassment. A 9-year-old boy said two youths struck him in the stomach.

5:08 -- 1119 15th St., arrest. Kenneth E. Bennett, 39, charged with failure to pay a fine and surcharge, assault, criminal mischief and resisting arrest after his wife said he cut her leg with a knife.

5:15 -- 7200 Niagara Falls Blvd., Tops market, grand larceny. An assistant manager said a man cashed 13 checks for a total of $1,186 on Sept. 1 with not enough money in the account to cover them.

5:15 -- 1917 1/2 Ferry Ave., arrest. Steven A. Walos Jr., 27, charged with unlawful imprisonment and assault after a woman said he pushed her and punched her in the face and chest.

5:25 -- 1590 Buffalo Ave., Ivanhoe, arrest. Peter J. Morell, 34, of Buffalo Avenue, charged with assault after John N. Marschke said Morell punched him in the face.

5:57 -- 8200 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard, petit larceny. Maria A. Wolcott said someone took her beagle.

6 -- 1929 Main St., Brewster's Bar, larceny. Lori J. Wozniak said someone took her wallet with personal papers, credit cards and $1 from a table.

6 -- 520 Hyde Park Blvd., Public Safety Building, arrest. Roderick L. Haslip, 35, of Fifth Street, charged with failure to pay a surcharge.

6 -- 1913 Falls St., arrest. Joseph W. Jones, 32, charged with failure to pay a surcharge.

7:50 -- 4800 block of University Court, harassment. A woman said a man choked her and threw her down.

7:55 -- 732 Portage Road, Planned Parenthood, grand larceny. Sarah B. Martineck said someone took her wallet with $15, three credit cards and personal papers from her purse in an office.

10:10 -- 1000 block of 98th Street, harassment and criminal mischief. A woman said a man threw a wooden chair and portable telephone in her direction, damaging the items, then pushed her into a rocking chair.

10:33 -- 11th and Lockport streets, arrest. Albert E. Crumpton, 45, of Bellreng Drive, Town of Niagara, charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

11 -- 444 19th St., burglary. Janice G. Rivers said someone broke into her apartment and took $500, two TVs, a portable stereo system and a VCR.

11:03 -- 5704 Stephenson Ave., assault. Carey A. Fagard said a man punched him in the face.

11:45 -- 26C Packard Court, arrest. Lafayette Robinson Jr., 29, of 59th Street, charged with assault after a woman complained.

4:23 -- 11th Street and North Avenue, arrests. Kenneth Moore, 34, of 22nd Street, charged with violation of parole and disorderly conduct, and Anthony W. Betton, 38, of Third Street, charged with disorderly conduct.

6:02 -- 40A Southgate, criminal mischief. Doris A. Brewster said someone broke into her car and took her stereo.

8:39 -- 520 Hyde Park Blvd., arrest. Diane M. McCoy, 40, of Niagara Avenue, charged with failure to appear and two counts of violation of the garbage ordinance.

8:45 -- 1948 Cudaback Ave., criminal mischief. Carol A. Stansbury said someone broke into her car and took taillight covers. Gerald Manzi Jr. said someone also broke into his car.

9 -- 520 Hyde Park Blvd., arrest. Charles B. Wilson, 37, of 62nd Street, charged with assault, burglary and petit larceny.

10 -- 520 Hyde Park Blvd., arrest. Cheryl D. Thomas, 43, of Michigan Avenue, charged with violation of probation.

10 -- 2914 Pine Ave., larceny. John G. Accardo said someone took his cell phone from his car.

10:38 -- 1123 19th St., larceny. Samuel Toarmino Sr. said someone took his Rottweiler that was chained in his back yard.

11:25 -- 3234 Ely Ave., grand larceny. Doris J. Robinson said someone took a debit card and took $200 from her account.

11:30 -- 520 Hyde Park Blvd., arrest. Faith E. Carpenter, 26, of Genesee Street, Lockport, detained for the Niagara County Sheriff's Department.

12:36 -- 2501 Ferry Ave., larceny. Rebecca S. Wells said someone took her purse from her vehicle.

1:15 -- 64 S. 84th St., larceny. Claire L. Confer said two boys took fishing gear, four cartons of cigarettes, four knives and some medication from the apartment.

1:50 -- 5408 Baker Ave., Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., larceny. A representative of the Mollenberg Betz Machine Co. said someone took an oxygen gauge, a gauge and a torch barrel from the job site.

2:18 -- Third Street and Cedar Avenue, arrest. Mark A. Rossi, 33, of 69th Street, charged with violation of probation.

2:30 -- 2447 Cudaback Ave., larceny. Patricia A. Pitts said two boys took her doorbell button.
