Political pollsters are whining that "More people tuned in to the football game, in this election year, than viewed the vice-presidential debate." It would be better stated that "Viewers, rather than doze through the vice-presidential debate, joined, willingly, the ranks of established football fans."
However stated, to imply political indifference, based on the viewer count of one nauseating TV program, is nonsensical, to say the least.
Few people would prefer monotonous gibberish over an exciting game. Few did. In short, the football game was excellent . . . the debate stunk!
