Marion "Suge" Knight, the rap record executive who drove the car in which Tupac Shakur was shot to death, surrendered to authorities for allegedly violating probation.
Knight, accused of failing to submit to drug tests, was jailed without bail Tuesday, four days after an arrest warrant was issued. A bail hearing was scheduled for next Monday; a hearing on his probation was set for Nov. 15.
Knight, whose Death Row Records generates $100 million a year in sales, was sentenced to probation last year after pleading no contest to assaulting two aspiring rappers at a Hollywood recording studio. Submitting to drug tests was one of the conditions of his probation.
