Margaret E. Jaycox, a former finance clerk for the U.S. Army Support Center at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Base, died Monday (Oct. 21, 1996) in Riverwood Health Care Center, Grand Island, after a long illness.
The former Margaret McCartin, 74, of Lake Street, was born in Youngstown and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Jaycox worked at the air base for more than 30 years.
She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and the Youngstown Senior Citizens and was a former member of the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Her husband, Edward, died in 1981.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin of Grand Island and Terrance of Florida; a daughter, Elizabeth Bergman of New Jersey; four sisters, Marion Taylor of Rochester, Harriet Conley of North Tonawanda and Patricia Szelest and Fran Edwards, both of Florida; a brother, Vincent of Arizona; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered today in St. Bernard's Church. Burial was in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
