Mandie Bridenbaker of Cuba was cleared Wednesday of drunken-driving charges linked to a Sept. 22 fatal accident on the Oak Street entrance to the Kensington Expressway.
Charges against Ms. Bridenbaker, 26, were dropped because a blood-alcohol test she willingly took the day of the crash showed she had no alcohol in her system, according to District Attorney Kevin M. Dillon and her attorney, Gerald Chiari.
Dillon said Ms. Bridenbaker faces no criminal counts in the death of Carlos O. Morales, 31, of Fairfield Street. There is still a traffic charge pending for driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
Morales was riding in a car driven by Dana Evans, 32, also of Fairfield Street, that was struck by Ms. Bridenbaker's car after she made a wrong turn at about 4 a.m., Dillon said.
