Wearing red and carrying red streamers, nearly 1,500 Orchard Park Middle School pupils, along with parents and teachers, will stage a Red Ribbon Parade on the block around their school at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to show their
support for a drug-free lifestyle.
The parade will take place on the same day that an anti-drug commercial produced by the youngsters will appear on WIVB-TV during the Regis and Kathie Lee Show at 10 a.m. Youngsters worked for two years to raise money to film and buy broadcast time for the commercial.
Orchard Park residents and businesses have been asked to display red on Wednesday for the start of Red Ribbon Substance Abuse Prevention Week.
