EPIC, a national non-profit program devoted to helping children, has scheduled a series of seven free parent-support workshops.

The first was set for this morning at 10 in Buffalo School 90, 50 A St., and at 6 p.m. in the Valley Community Center, 93 Leddy St.

Topics at the workshops include communication, decision-making, building self-esteem, peer pressure and preventing substance abuse.

Other workshops are scheduled for: Calvary Baptist Church, 1184 Genesee St., starting Oct. 30; Shoreline Apartments, 200 Niagara St., starting Oct. 31; Buffalo School 68, 24 Westminster St., starting Nov. 6; West Seneca Youth Bureau, 1397 Orchard Park Road, West Seneca, starting Nov. 12; and Corpus Christi Church, 179 Clark St., starting Jan. 8.
