A Town of Arcade teen faces felony mischief charges of driving his vehicle on a midnight rampage through a residential yard, a cow pasture and a cornfield.
Wyoming County sheriff's deputies said Sunday that Peter J. Galioto, 18, of 1570 Genesee Road was released from the Wyoming County Jail, where he had been incarcerated on $500 bail after his arrest Friday.
The three properties on Genesee Road sustained thousands of dollars in damage, according to Deputy Edward Till and State Trooper Timothy Talley. Two male passengers were not charged.
"Galioto tore up hundreds of feet of yard by doing 'doughnuts' and 'figure eights' in the grass" in a yard at Genesee and Youngers roads, Till said.
"Galioto then drove further down Genesee Road and through a cow pasture, knocking down approximately 100 feet of electric fencing along with several posts. Several pieces of Galioto's vehicle were found in the pasture.
Farther down Genesee Road, Galioto allegedly drove through a cornfield, damaging several acres of corn.
The vehicle, which sustained extensive front-end damage, was found hidden in a barn on Genesee Road, Till said.
Galioto was charged with two felony counts of criminal mischief in the Town of Arcade and one count of criminal mischief in the Town of Eagle.
