DRIVER CHARGED AFTER 2-CAR CRASH

LOCKPORT -- One driver was charged with driving while intoxicated while the other driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash at High and Pine streets at 6 p.m. Sunday, Officer Paul M. Zapp said.

Gary J. Richau, 48, of 124 Massachusetts Ave. was arrested after his sport utility vehicle made a right turn from High Street onto Pine, then suddenly turned back to the left, striking the car of Daniel M. Rauber, 26, of 305 Chestnut St. Zapp said Richau's blood alcohol content was measured at 0.17 percent.

Rauber was released from Lockport Memorial Hospital after treatment for back and arm injuries.
