Thomas D. Rank, 37, of the City of Tonawanda, a Speed Motor Express driver and former restaurant owner, died Friday (Oct. 18, 1996) in Roswell Park Cancer Institute after a long illness.
Born in North Tonawanda, he had been a resident of the City of Tonawanda for most of his life. He graduated from Tonawanda Senior High School in 1977.
At the time of his death, he had been employed by Speed Motor Express in the Town of Tonawanda for three years.
He once owned the former Rank's Badlands Cafe in North Tonawanda.
He was a member of the Park Athletic Club.
Survivors include: his wife, the former Lynda L. Buras; his mother, Marie Rank of the City of Tonawanda; a sister, Jane R. Oetinger of the City of Tonawanda; and four brothers, Terry M. of Houston, and Timothy D., Todd A. and Troy R., all of the City of Tonawanda.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in First Presbyterian Church, 149 Broad St., City of Tonawanda.
