Editor's Note: "Buffalo 2010," the magazine's Sept. 22 cover story on who will occupy the future seats of power, merits a few more words.
First, the voluminous lineup of young leaders about to break through to the front ranks of influence missed the mark when listing Laura Grube as program director and acting executive director of Womanfocus, an agency that promotes healthy lifestyles for women. Ms. Grube left her job as coordinator about a year ago. The new coordinator is Laura Meyers-Rogerson and the executive director is Rita Hubbard-Robinson.
Hank Bromley, listed in the higher academics category, is associate director of the Center for Educational Resources and Technologies at the University at Buffalo.
The story, written by News city editor Stephen Bell, garnered an unusually high response. There was a long reaction from Business First, which offered a few of its own suggestions. And Mayor Masiello -- "Mayor Feelgood," as the article good-naturedly dubbed him -- was among the many who called to voice their opinions. We always appreciate feedback, especially from the mayor. He said he liked it.
