As peak color fades in the Adirondacks, the focus of New York's fall foliage season has shifted westward and southward.
In the Niagara Frontier Region, observers report peak foliage in Letchworth State Park, with average to bright leaves of yellow, red and orange.
From the Chautauqua-Allegheny Region, Little Valley in Cattaraugus County is reporting peak conditions, with 95 to 100 percent of the leaves changed. The Chautauqua Visitors Bureau in Mayville is reporting peak conditions, while in Allegheny State Park, conditions are slightly past peak.
In the Finger Lakes, the area around Rochester is near peak this weekend, with an estimated 60 percent color change. To the south, Chemung County expects conditions just past peak, and Penn Yan is reporting near peak conditions. For the complete New York foliage report, call (800) 225-5697.
