A Sloan man was listed in critical condition Saturday in Erie County Medical Center after he was thrown from his motorcycle and into the path of a tractor-trailer.
Phillip Reynolds, 28, of Broadway was injured shortly after 6 p.m. Friday on Broadway when he tried to avoid the truck, which was eastbound but was partially in the westbound lane, police said.
Reynolds lost control of his motorcycle on the rain-slicked pavement and was thrown off. Both he and the motorcycle slid into the truck, according to Officer Carl Hendel.
The truck driver, John Reese, 49, of Syracuse, was charged with driving left of the center line and lacking proof of insurance.
