An estimated $10,000 worth of diamond pendants disappeared Friday afternoon while a man created a commotion in a downtown jewelry store, Downtown District officers reported. It happened between 1 and 2 p.m. at Ben Garelick Inc., a jewelry wholesaler in the Ellicott Square Building.

As one man created a commotion, accomplices reached into a glass show case and took a tray containing 18 pendants.
