Edna U. Heymann, a real estate agent and community volunteer in the Buffalo area for many years, died Wednesday (Oct. 16, 1996) in Hospice Buffalo's Kresge Residence in Cheektowaga after a long illness. She was 91.

Mrs. Heymann, an Amherst resident, was born in Buffalo. She sold real estate for 50 years for several firms, retiring at age 81.

Mrs. Heymann was vice president of the Wettlaufer Clinic Women's Auxiliary, a volunteer for the sick and elderly and a volunteer for Buffalo General Hospital. She was honored for her services at Buffalo General in 1995.

She was the widow of Dr. Barney Barr Smith and Herbert Heymann.

Survivors include two daughters, Eugenia Abramowitz of Kenmore and Ellen Kimmelman of East Windsor, N.J.; a son, Robert W. Smith of Hampton, Va.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Temple Beth Zion Sisterhood Chapel, 805 Delaware Ave. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
