The Buffalo Chapter of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society has elected Mary Jo Clinton president. She is owner of the M.J. Clinton Agency in Amherst. Other officers elected are: vice president, William McNamara; secretary, Liane Wind; treasurer, Mark DePeters; assistant treasurer, Connie Bayne; education chair, Janet O'Leary; candidate development chairman, Cindy Galkiewicz; public relations chair, Doris Murphy; membership chair, Dan Murray; historian, Phil Cowan; bylaws chair, John Scholl; and new designee chair, Margaret Marchant.

The Performance Group, a Buffalo creative communications agency, has promoted Michael J. Galante to vice president-creative, and Gregory J. Nerogic to vice president-finance and administration. Galante joined the firm in 1990 and has served as event coordinator, account executive, assistant general manager and creative director. He oversees all creative and production aspects. Nerogic has been with the company for three years, serving as controller and assistant general manager of finance. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the University at Buffalo.

The Engineering Society of Buffalo, Inc. has elected the following officers for the 1996-97 administrative year: president, Merrill Arthur, An-Cor Industrial Plastics Inc.; vice president, Allen Vaillancourt, ACT Associates; secretary, Dennis Kessler, DAK Resources, and treasurer, Robert Henley, Northeast Caissons Inc.

The society also elected the following persons to three-year terms as directors: Michael Burgio, John Hancock Financial Services; James Carr, Buffalo Sewer Authority; Michael Kistner, Concrete Products, Inc., and Eustace Mendez, Carbide/Graphite Group.

The Tax Executives Institute, Inc., Niagara Frontier Chapter, has elected the following officers for the 1996-97 year: president, Gary R. Krull, Fisher-Price, Inc.; vice president, Robert E. Sweeney, Marriott Management Services Corp., and secretary-treasurer, John C. Lankes, Marine Midland Bank.

Dawn L. Whitbeck has been named Group Sales Coordinator for Blue Bird Coach Lines.

Cesar Insurance Agencies has added Larry Short and the Lester F. Short Agency to their group, extending the company's territory to Niagara Fall, Glen Falls/Lake George and Long Island.

Hodgson, Russ, Andrews, Woods & Goodyear said one of its partners, Michael P. Murphy, has been named one of 357 attorneys listed in the Guide to the World's Leading Insurance and Reinsurance Lawyers published by EuroMoney Publications Plc. Murphy is the chairman of the Buffalo law firm's insurance and reinsurance practice group.

Samuel Todaro of Orchard Park recently presented a workshop on Workplace Alcoholism and Drug Problems to the New York City Chapter of the Employee Assistance Professional Association.
