ANTHONY J. PAIGE, PRESIDENT OF MID-CITY BUILDERS

Anthony J. Paige of Amherst, president of Mid-City Builders, died Tuesday (Oct. 15, 1996) in Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. He was 84.

In the 1960s, he founded Lorence Home Remodeling, which he operated for several years. After working in sales for other businesses, he founded Mid-City Builders on Fillmore Avenue in 1981.

Paige was a member of Temple Sinai in Amherst.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, the former Bernice Fineberg; a son, Lorence A. of Amherst; three daughters, Lori L. DuVall of Amherst and Frances and Gloria, both of California; two brothers, John LaBar of California and Charles LaPaglia of Virginia; two sisters, Theresa Williams of Warren, Ohio, and Josephine Savage of Kenmore; and four grandsons.

A memorial service was held today in Delaware Park Memorial Chapel. Burial was in White Chapel Cemetery, Amherst.
