Ida Bemish, 88, a former Williamsville high school teacher, died Friday (Oct. 11, 1996) in Freedom Village, Bradenton, Fla.

Her teaching career spanned 31 years. She also taught in the Rochester and Pittsford school systems.

The former Ida Gabriel was native of Lancaster and a graduate of Canisius College. She also attended the University of Buffalo.

She and her late husband, Charles H., lived in Lake Worth, Fla., before she moved to Bradenton. She was a member of the New York State and Pittsford Retired Teachers associations.

Survivors include a sister, Isabel Todtenhagen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 5480 Main St., Williamsville. Burial will be in Williamsville Cemetery. [clln]
