Borrowing the buzz phrase from this election year, the NFL is anti-"family values." Games are played on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, during Jewish high holy hours, and in the midst of Sunday family dinner time. Also, games are playing on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, which is a bit excessive and ridiculous, methinks.
Men who run with a ball, tackle each other, injure themselves and each other (over a ball) are made into millionaires and become society's heroes.
Can't this sport be put into its proper perspective?
