Exolon-ESK Co. of Tonawanda has named Michael H. Bieger vice president of finance and chief financial officer. He is the former president and chief financial officer of Perry's Ice Cream Co. Before joining Exolon, a manufacturer of silicon carbide, aluminum oxide and boron carbide, Bieger was a management consultant for Sigma Consulting in Fairport, N.Y. A certified public accountant, he holds bachelor's and master's in business administration degrees from the University at Buffalo. He lives in Clarence Center.

Rich Products Corp. has promoted William E. Grieshober Jr. to corporate counsel, responsible for the legal issues involved in acquisitions, divestitures, financing, contracts and international joint ventures. He joined Rich in 1992 and most recently had been associate corporate counsel. Grieshober previously worked at Phillips, Lytle, Hitchcock, Blaine & Huber. He holds a bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University and a law degree from the University at Buffalo. He lives in East Amherst.

The Buffalo Chapter of American Society of Women Accountants has elected Christine Gaiser president for 1996-97. She is dean of education at Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. Other officers are: recording secretary, Catherine Gorny; corresponding secretary, Donna Sokolski; treasurer, Joanne Yargeau; and directors, Cheryl Cwick, Lisa Faturos, Marion Kopin, Michele C. LiPuma and Karen Spencer.

Voice Technologies Group Inc. has promoted Michael P. Brunner to director of manufacturing operations.

Lippes, Silverstein, Mathias & Wexler LLP, a Buffalo law firm, has hired Roberta A. Vallone as an associate attorney. The cum laude graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental studies and physical geography from UB.

The American Foundrymen's Society Inc. has elected James Steinwachs chairman of the group's Western New York chapter. Steinwachs is director of quality and customer relations for Pohlman Foundry in Buffalo. Other officers include: vice president, Gregg Pohlman; secretary, John Klodzinski; and treasurer, Peter Billi.

Lumsden & McCormick, LLP, Certified Public Accountants has appointed D'Marie L. Murray, of Akron, staff accountant to its tax department. The firm also appointed Colleen Schoenthaler, of Cheektowaga, a graduate of the University at Buffalo, as consultant to the computer services department.

Andrew J. Spence has been named manager of The Parker Store, a showroom and service facility operated by K-D Supply Corp. of North Tonawanda.
