Paul D. Hintermeier, a Vietnam veteran and former Bethlehem Steel worker, died Sunday (Oct. 13, 1996) in St. Joseph Hospital, Cheektowaga, after a brief illness.
Hintermeier, a Cheektowaga resident, was 46.
Born in Lackawanna, he was a graduate of Blessed Trinity School and Bennett High School.
Before serving in Vietnam with the U.S. Army, Hintermeier was employed by Pratt & Lambert as a paint mixer and by Bethlehem Steel as a millwright. He was most recently employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a custodian.
Hintermeier enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife, the former Benita Ras; two sons, Richard A. and Paul D. II; a daughter, Ashley L.; his parents L. Charles and Grace, all of Cheektowaga; three brothers, Dale of Cape Coral, Fla., Neal and Gary, both of Cheektowaga; and two sisters, Ann and Teresa of Williamsville.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Urban-Amigone Funeral Home, 3645 Genesee St., Cheektowaga.[hmcnl]
