Incumbents were re-elected to town offices, with Jerry M. Hicks leading the field in the councilmanic race.

Hicks drew 10,067 votes as a Democratic, Republican, Independence, Right to Life and Freedom nominee. Councilman Christopher F. Osmanski also was re-elected to a second four-year term, with 8,381 votes on the Republican, Conservative, Right to Life and Freedom lines.

Losing in the race for two councilmanic seats were Vincent J. Graber Jr., a Democratic nominee, 6,179; Michael P. Harmon, Conservative and Independence nominee, 2,371; and Eric G. Paul, Liberal nominee, 420.

Highway Superintendent Patrick Finnegan won a third four-year term.. Daniel B. Krawczyk, Republican and Freedom nominee, got 5,196.

In the closest race, Town Justice Richard B. Scott defeated Dale J. McCabe 7,704 to 6,404 to win a fifth four-year term. Scott had Democratic, Independence and Liberal nominations.

Town Clerk Patricia A. Wisniewski easily won a second four-year term.
