A technical problem at WIVB-TV's Colden transmitting station resulted in four hours of "dead air" for Channel 4 on Sunday.
Jeff Poth, assignment editor for the station's news department, said Channel 4 was off the air from around 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"I must have gotten a thousand phone calls," he said. "First it was the church programs, then football."
Poth said the problem still had not been corrected Sunday night, but the station's mobile transmitters were relaying its signal temporarily.
