I am sick and tired of hearing about how small the Buffalo television market is in relation to the five other cities on the National League's "Short List." It is an insult to the four million people within a two-hour drive living on the other side of the border. You know: Hamilton, St. Catharines, Toronto. . . .
"Ah! But they've already got a team!"
Yes, but it is in the American League! Are the National League owners so ignorant as to think that there is no one in Toronto who wants to see live or on TV, the Cubs, Mets and Dodgers on a regular basis?
Yes, the metro population is 1.2 million, but the regional population is more than 5 million. These are people well within TV signal range. Recognizing that, they should be included when ranking the TV markets.
