DEATH OF INFANT BEING INVESTIGATED

Buffalo Homicide Bureau detectives and the Erie County medical examiner's office are investigating the death of a 4-month-old Buffalo boy.

Dr. Sung-Ook Baik, associate medical examiner, conducted an autopsy Saturday in the death of the infant, whose name was not released. Officials at the county morgue said Dr. Baik is expected to name a cause of death Monday.

Authorities said the boy died at 3:45 p.m. Friday in Children's Hospital, two days after he was taken to the hospital from a home in the city's Riverside section.

The possible involvement of a head injury in the death is under investigation, said Police Inspector Thomas Kinsella.
