An 11-year-old girl suffered minor injuries when the snowmobile she was driving struck a car as she was trying to cross a road in Colden, Erie County sheriff's deputies reported.
Kristie Hawley was one of three members of her family injured in the midnight collision Thursday on Partridge Road, deputies said.
The first two of four snowmobiles in the Hawley party crossed Partridge safely, Deputy Scott Kauffman said, but the snowmobile driven by Kristie struck a car driven by Peter J. Siepierski, 18, of Blakely Road, South Wales.
The impact of the collision caused the car to strike a snowmobile driven by Kristie's father, Charles Hawley, 31, of Cornwall Road, South Wales, injuring him and his daughter, Michelle.
Hawley was treated in Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Springville, for an elbow injury. Michelle was treated for a leg injury, and Kristie was treated for a back injury. All were released.
