An early morning fire in Clarence today destroyed a barn and three automobiles, including two sports cars, Erie County sheriff's deputies reported.
The fire at 10725 South Park Ave. was discovered about 2:30 a.m. by a neighbor, John Bleecher, who noticed flames coming from the converted barn and workshop, deputies said.
Bleecher called 911 and notified the owner, Matthew D. Roberts. Volunteer fire units from Clarence, Clarence Center, Harris Hill and Newstead spent more than two hours at the scene.
Lost in the fire was a 1974 Porsche, a 1982 Jaguar and a 1985 Chrysler. Their value was placed at $30,000 to $35,000.
Deputies said the cause of the fire is undetermined and no damage estimate for the building was available.
