Henry G. Lobl has been named administrator at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, effective Tuesday.
Lobl, 48, comes from the 261-bed Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica, L.I., where he was associate executive director. Mount St. Mary's has 179 beds.
Lobl succeeds Richard B. Russell, who was administrator for five years. Russell will become administrative consultant and will continue to serve on the hospital's board of directors, advisory board and its Hospital Foundation.
Lobl holds a master's degree in public administration and served in the Army Corps of Engineers. While at Immaculate Hospital, Lobl oversaw construction of a $50 million patient care facility, centralized the laboratory services and promoted the expansion of the hospital's home health agency.
