Services for Melvin Kennard, 82, of Hess Road, a retired tool-and-die maker at the Harrison Division of General Motors Corp., will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, 2670 Main St., Newfane. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
He died Tuesday (Dec. 25, 1990) in Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital.
Kennard retired from Harrison in 1973.
He served in the U.S. Army in the 1920s. He was a member of West Somerset Baptist Church.
He was the widower of Clara Collins Kennard.
Surviving are three sons, Richard of Lockport, Victor of Phoenix, Ariz., and Elliott of Gasport; two daughters, Betty Taylor and Evelyn Horanburg, both of Burt; a sister, Helen Reid of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; 18 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
