I have a fear about communication in today's society. Every day we see others around us, but we really don't acknowledge them.
We may give a quick wave, but not really see the person we wave to. I am referring to the loss of eye contact which plagues our society.
Try to imagine a world where no one ever made eye contact. It would be kind of odd, wouldn't it?
I think the world would be a more enjoyable place if we just looked into each other's eyes. Then a person would look sincere as he speaks to another.
A friend would appear to be listening if he were watching the speaker. Our verbal communication would be more meaningful if everyone made eye contact.
People should muster up the courage to lift those eyes.
They'll find that there's more to see in a person's face than in their shoes or the floor.
