ROSE S. GOLDEN, ACTIVE IN FAMILY BUSINESS

Services for Rose S. Golden, who was active in her family business, Golden Office Outfitters, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Rhoney Funeral Home, 1124 Ontario Ave. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery in Lewiston.

Mrs. Golden, 70, died Saturday (Dec. 22, 1990) in the Bestview Health Care Centre, St. Catharines, Ont., after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease.

Born in Buffalo, she moved to Niagara Falls in 1950 and had been an active partner with her husband, Samuel M. Golden, in their business, Golden Office Outfitters, for many years.

She was a life member and former president of the Hadassah Chapter in Niagara Falls. She was an active member in temple activities and had served as president of the Sisterhood of Temple Beth El. She was a former member of the Zonta Club and was active in the Niagara Falls Jewish Federation.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Ben C. of Rensselaer and Harold of Salt Lake City; a daughter, Rachel J. Adler-Golden of Boston, Mass.; a brother, Dr. Fred Shalwitz of Buffalo, and a sister, Ann Bloom of Buffalo and Scottsdale, Ariz.
