MAN SERIOUSLY HURT IN 85-FOOT FALL

A 21-year-old man was in serious condition Sunday in Erie County Medical Center after an 85-foot fall into a creek near his Sandhill Road home.

Genesee County sheriff's deputies said Daniel Lamont of 7293 Sandhill Road jumped or fell from a bridge above an abandoned railroad right of way near Sandhill Road Saturday afternoon.

He was flown, in critical condition, by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center, where his condition was upgraded to serious Sunday. Deputies said they had no motive and the investigation is continuing.
