NIAGARA FALLS MAN IS INDICTED IN ABDUCTION, RAPE

A Niagara Falls man was indicted Friday on charges of abducting and raping a woman earlier this month in the Town of Niagara.

Duane P. Biro, 21, of 4600 Islewood Drive, who recently returned here from Jacksonville, Fla., pleaded innocent to three rape counts and single counts of kidnapping, sexual abuse, assault, robbery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Bail was set at $100,000 cash or $200,000 property by Niagara County Judge Charles L. Hannigan.

The indictment alleges that Biro attacked the woman Dec. 2, hitting and choking her and taking her car.
