I. Vanson Hale III, 62, who operated the Hale Office Systems in Orchard Park for several years, died Friday (Dec. 21, 1990) in his Orchard Park home.
A native of Bryn Mawr, Pa., Hale moved to Orchard Park in 1953 and was employed as a branch manager of the former Remington Rand Co. In 1970, he started his own business, which he ran until 1988 when he sold because of ill health.
He was a graduate of Western Maryland College and during the Korean War, was a second lieutenant with the U. S. Army Infantry.
He was a member of the Buffalo Rotary Club, an elder of the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, past president of the Orchard Park Country Club and a member of the board of directors of the Presbyterian Homes of WNY.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lida Birdsall; two sons, the Rev. William V. of Centreville, Va. and David B. of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; two daughters, Deborah H. Smith of Montgomery and Virginia H. Williams of Lake Worth, Fla., a sister, Virginia Spicknall of Metuchen, N.J., and seven grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Old St. David Cemetery in Radnor, Pa.
