MONEY FOR OVERHEAD BRIDGE RESTORED TO STATE BUDGET

Money earmarked for reconstruction of the Overhead Bridge between Evans and Eden, originally slated to be eliminated from the state budget, has been restored, Assemblyman Francis J. Pordum, D-Blasdell, has announced.

Had the money not been restored, the Town of Evans would have been responsible for the entire local share of $394,000 for the project, Pordum said. Now, state funds will pay 80 percent of the cost.
