Wednesday is the deadline to register with the Niagara County Girl Scout Council for programs on video production and storytelling.
Informational sessions on both, open to any girls in Niagara County in grades six to 12, will be held in the Riverside Presbyterian Church, 84th Street and Lindbergh Avenue, next Friday.
The first, a three-day video interest project, will be held in the church from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., when the two following sessions will be scheduled by those attending. The program will cover the basic techniques of video production, including how to plan and shoot a video, according to Barbara Cattrall Wallace.
The second, co-sponsored by the Niagara Storytellers of Toastmasters International, will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., when participants "will learn how to tell stories professionally," she said. The 10 regular storytelling sessions will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Rainbow Centre Outlet Mall community room on Jan. 4, Jan. 18, Feb. 1, Feb. 15, March 1, March 15, April 12, April 26 and May 10 and May 24.
Registration details for both are available from the council.
