Carol E. Tomaino of Stovroff & Herman Realtors, the first woman elected to head the board of directors of the Eastern Niagara Chamber of Commerce since it was founded in 1903, will be installed chairwoman of the Chamber at a dinner and dance Jan. 26 in the Clubhouse restaurant, 6886 S. Transit Road, Town of Lockport.

Her election to head the Chamber's board of directors for the coming year was
announced Tuesday.

Mrs. Tomaino has been a member of the board since 1987 and has served as chairwoman of its Membership and Bylaws committees. She is a member of the Lockport, New York and National associations of Realtors and is a past president of the Lockport Board of Realtors.

Also elected were vice chairmen, James E. McElheny and Gregory A. Pope; treasurer, Michele L. Tiedeman, and secretary, Paul J. Mullane.
