Nearly two pounds of cocaine and a coffee grinder were found by sheriff's deputies and the U.S. Border Patrol's Scott Van Tine and his dog Roscoe Wednesday evening when they searched an upstairs apartment and attic at
86 Doat St., according to Sheriff Thomas F. Higgins.
Sheriff's narcotics officers, led by Capt. Richard Dillon, found cocaine along with three large dinner plates and cutting materials on a table, Higgins said. He said no one was home. Higgins said the cocaine had a street value of about $100,000. He said an arrest in the case is imminent and that the case will be presented to a grand jury.
