A Springville couple convicted of illegally cutting trees in Ashford in 1988 has been sentenced to pay more than $2,800 in damages plus fines.
Richard A. White, 35, and Donna Vacinek-Windus, 38, both of Henrietta Road, were sentenced Tuesday by County Judge Paul B. Kelly.
They were convicted of fourth-degree criminal mischief by Kelly in April following a two day non-jury trial. They were charged after cutting down trees on Ronald Larson's property on Aug. 17, 1988.
Kelly granted them each a conditional discharge on the misdemeanor and directed them each to pay $1,443 restitution and $250 fines.
Michael A. Myszka, 20, of Olean was sentenced to six months in jail, five years' probation and ordered to pay $131 restitution for his guilty plea to third-degree burglary of a home in Olean in April.
Frank A. Curtis, 18, of Freedom was sentenced to five years' probation, must pay $973 restitution and is to perform 100 hours of community service for his guilty plea to two third-degree burglaries in Freedom last March.
Ronald Mistric, 23, of Olean pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary of an Olean school June 7 and is to be sentenced March 25.
