GULF TROOPS CAN BLAME THEMSELVES FOR BOREDOM

I am tired of hearing of all the soldiers who have nothing to do in the Persian Gulf. I just received another letter from my brother who has yet to experience the extreme boredom so often written about. Here is a sample of his frustration with the way the situation is being reported back here:

"I am not bored. I have a ton of work over here. I don't know who the news reporters have been interviewing over here, but when I find one of these 'bored' slugs, I'm going to cripple him. Actually, they are probably just the individuals over here who lack the intelligence and imagination to entertain themselves and so occupy their pathetic, empty lives with avoiding their work and duties, thereby increasing the time they can spend each day on repeating 'I am bored' ad nauseam."

So let us give the individuals who can make something out of a bad situation some credit and print space instead of propagating false impressions.
