A private memorial Mass will be offered for Florence Kloten Donovan, a fund-raising coordinator for the Buffalo Blind Association.
Mrs. Donovan, 85, died Friday (Dec. 14, 1990) in a Tampa, Fla., hospital after a short illness.
She moved to Vero Beach, Fla., after retiring in 1971. She directed special programs to sell items made by the blind and raised funds for the organization for more than 15 years.
A Buffalo native, Mrs. Donovan attended local schools and graduated from Holy Angels High School. She worked in the bridal department of the former Wm. Hengerer's Department Store during World War II.
A longtime resident of East Aurora, Mrs. Donovan worked as a volunteer with the American Red Cross and the Home Extension program.
After the death of her husband, Gerald J., she moved to Buffalo, where she became involved as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include a sister, Mildred K. Murray.
