The Porter Town Board has adopted a $3.24 million budget for 1991 that will require a tax levy of $814,537, according to Supervisor Ronald C. Johnston.
Johnston said $240,100 has been allocated for refuse disposal, up from this year's $207,255. Homeowners will be charged a flat rate fee of $139.92 per unit, up from $125 this year.
The tax rate for the general fund portion of the budget totals $1.01 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, up 1 cent. The highway tax rate for residents of the Village of Youngstown will be 76 cents, also up 1 cent, while residents outside the village will pay 53 cents, unchanged from the 1990 rate.
Johnston said residents in the Ransomville Lighting District will pay 63 cents per $1,000 of assessed valuation for lighting services.
Other special district budgets include Ransomville Fire Company, $62,651 for a $1.20 tax rate, down 13 cents; Youngstown Fire Company, $77,500 for a $1.11 tax rate, up 38 cents.
Johnston said the 1991 spending plan also includes a 5 percent wage increase for town employees.
