Dorothy M. Holtz, 84, a long-time teacher in the West Seneca schools, died Saturday (Dec. 15, 1990) in the Extended Care Facility of Oneida City Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Cleveland and raised in Buffalo, she graduated from Masten Park High School and received her teaching degree in 1928 from Buffalo State Teachers College.
She was a teacher in the West Seneca School District before retiring in the late 1960s.
She also was a foster grandmother at West Seneca Developmental Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Marion Mancuse of Sherrill and Alberta Wilmot of Endwell; a brother, William F. Short Jr. of Vero Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
