CORPS OF ENGINEERS CHIEF SUMMONED FOR DUTY IN GULF

The chief of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Buffalo has been ordered to duty in Saudi Arabia.

Col. John W. Morris, who was named district engineer in September, will rejoin his former outfit, the Third Armored Division, as its division engineer.

Maj. David P. Plank has been named acting chief pending Morris' return. Plank is the former deputy chief of the district.
