An Olean man who jumped bail and went to Colorado now faces paying Cattaraugus County's extradition costs in addition to a jail sentence for drug possession.
Shawn R. Wanamaker, 28, was sentenced Monday by County Judge Paul B. Kelly on Wanamaker's guilty plea to third-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance on June 27, 1987, in Olean and second-degree bail-jumping.
Wanamaker left the state while the charge was pending in 1988 and was extradited from Boulder, Colo., at a cost of $2,969, which he's to repay as part of his sentence.
He also faces two consecutive one-year jail terms.
In another sentencing, Duane Ingersoll, 27, of Salamanca was sentenced on his January guilty plea to drunken driving to 30 days in jail and five years' probation. He also was fined $2,000 and directed to perform 200 hours of community service. He also was fined $500 for driving without a license and given a 30-day jail term for reckless driving.
Daniel Bakowski, 37, of Freedom pleaded guilty to drunken driving and petit larceny on May 9 in Freedom when he stole some money from another man. He will be sentenced April 1.
Albert G. Rose, 28, of Olean pleaded guilty to charges of third-degree burglary and grand larceny for entering an Olean home Sept. 13 when items valued at more than $3,000 were stolen.
He will be sentenced March 25.
Sentencing was set for April 1 for Elton H. Cassady, 38, of Machias on his guilty plea to drunken driving Sept. 14 in Machias.
